IdentiFlyer for the birds

Based out of Salem South Carolina, Identiflyer is a family business that produces products that are both educational and entertaining.

Through the use of electronic recordings mounted on cards, Identiflyer has created a simple way for backyard birders and field enthusiasts to learn bird calls and identify the bird. The calls and sounds are carefully grouped on individual cards that are representative of certain habitats, such as the woods or the beach.

In addition to Identiflyer cards for birds calls, there are also cards for other nights sounds, such as frogs and toads.

Often used just for the sheer enjoyment of hearing nature as an ambient sound, the Identiflyer cards can also be used to provide entertainment by being played on various devises such as an alarm clock or a portable player.

A good example is The Birds Of The South songcard featuring the calls of birds that may be found around southern forests characterized by live oaks and Spanish moss. This song card may be played on the Songbird Identiflyer or the Singing Alarm Clock, and it includes calls by the following birds: Wood Stork, Swallow-Tailed Kite, Common Ground Dove, Red-Cockaded Woodpecker, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Hooded Warbler, Summer Tanager, Blue Grosbeak, Painted Bunting and the Bachman's Sparrow.
